Recovery Happens 2025
Strength Through Recovery is real! Come get connected to a fun community that believes recovery from drug and alcohol addiction is possible and worth celebrating.
Join us from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Lake Redding Park Pavilion and Gazebo for FREE food, carnival snacks and family fun. Listen to inspiring testimonials from people in recovery and talk with substance use treatment providers at over 40 resource fair booths.
This annual September event is organized in observance of Recovery Happens Month, a time when we celebrate the gains made by people in recovery, educate the community about treatment and unite to break down stigma surrounding substance use challenges.
Recovery Happens is made possible by a collaboration between local nonprofit treatment providers, sober-living homes, health clinics and government agencies. The committee works throughout the year to plan the month’s festivities.
Need transportation? Routes 11 and 14 have stops on Benton Drive that are around the corner from the Lake Redding Park Pavilion and Gazebo.
For questions regarding the event, reach out to Jules Howard at jahoward@shastacounty.gov or (530) 983-2308.
*Recovery Happens is a smoke-free event.
