Chalk Walk
Calling all Artists,
We’re excited to invite you to be part of a vibrant new community event in downtown Redding — the Chalk Walk on Saturday, May 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., hosted by the Foundation for Promoting Arts Education (FPAE).
This event will bring together local artists, students, and community members to transform Market Street and the Whistlestop Park area into a large-scale outdoor art gallery.
- Showcase your work in a high-visibility, public setting
- Engage with the community and fellow artists
- Compete for prizes
- Be part of a creative, energetic, event
- Be highlighted through social media
How It Works:
- Artists reserve a sidewalk square and create an original chalk piece
- Drawing begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 5:00 p.m.
- Judging takes place in the afternoon, followed by an awards ceremony at 6:00 p.m.
- Designs should be family-friendly and created using chalk only
We would love to have you involved in making this a standout community event.
Reserve your square or learn more here: website.
Thank you for supporting the arts in our community—we hope to see you there!
