Variety Show Extraordinaire

Outstanding young students from the Chico area present a melange of works for piano, voice, and violin. Their instructors are Justin McKay and Dr. Natalya Shkoda. 

The program consists of familiar favorites such as Liszt’s La Campanella, Brahms’ Lullaby and works of Chopin, Bach and Beethoven. Also presented are rarely heard gems and recent compositions: Levitt’s Mansion Rag for piano duet, and Evening (Lullaby) by Dr. Shkoda.

Dr. Christine Buckstead and Caroline Fairchild will perform piano, voice and violin. 

We are joined by the UniCat Duo: April Smirnoff and CSU Chico piano professor, Dr. Natalya Shkoda, are winners of numerous awards. Miss Smirnoff, a truly versatile young artist, will sing in several languages, and perform piano.
