Kennett – The town under Shasta Lake
Join us for local author and filmmaker, Myra Buteau’s original, historical documentary titled “Kennett—The Town Under Shasta Lake.”
The area where Kennett existed is steeped in history. First it was a Wintu Native American village. Then in the California Gold Rush era it was known as Backbone. And finally, when the railroad arrived it was named Kennett.
The event will also include a Q & A with the author Myra Buteau and a book signing.
