Whiskeytown Cemetery Walking Tour
Join us out at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area for a ranger-led walking tour of the Whiskeytown Cemetery. Explore this whimsical cemetery with an interpretive park ranger and learn about Native Americans, nineteenth century pioneers, a park superintendent, and “The Last Goldminer of Whiskeytown,” all of whom are permanently interred at the site. Meet at 10am at the Whiskeytown Cemetery which is located on Paige Bar Road below Whiskeytown Dam.
Note: This is a no cost event, but visitors to Whiskeytown are required to display an entry pass in their vehicle which is not provided by the Library. These can be obtained beforehand at the park’s Visitor’s Center.
