Biodiversity Day
Happy California Biodiversity Day!! This week is set aside by the California Natural Resource Agency to honor the state’s unique biodiversity, since we are one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. Let’s celebrate all of California’s amazing living things together with crafts and activities, presentations by local organizations, and informational booths. Make a bird or bee house! Contribute cool observations to iNaturalist! Try your hand at becoming a pollinator! Learn how YOU can make a difference to protect the species that make our state so special.
Join us on Saturday, September 5 between 10 am and 2 pm at Whistle Stop Park in downtown Redding.
California Diversity Day is hosted by Western Shasta Resource Conservation District, with the help of many awesome local partners.
