Tap and Jazz Week at Redding City Ballet

Tap and Jazz week will be a fun and exciting week to learn the fundamentals of these dance styles!

July 27 – 31, 2026

For students who take the tap classes, they will build on the basics of tap, from scuffs to shuffles, flaps to sugars. This class will improve coordination, endurance, and musicality.

For students who take the jazz classes, this style combines elements of ballet and modern dance with current dance forms, emphasizing rhythm, isolations, and expressive movement.

Children’s Basic Tap (Age 6-10)
1:30-2:00pm

Intermediate Tap (Age 8+)
2:00-2:45pm

Advanced Tap (Age 11+)
2:45-3:30pm

Children’s Basic Jazz (Age 6-10)
2:00-2:45pm

Intermediate Jazz (Age 8+)
2:45-3:30

Advanced Jazz (Age 12+)
3:30-4:30pm
