Brooke McGowen’s Northern California Landscapes at Shasta County Arts Council

Since moving to a remote area of Northern California from New York in 2018, Brooke has been intoxicated by the beauty of nature around her; The distant view of Mt. Shasta, the entanglement of oaks and tenacious pines, the perseverance of her little creek throughout the hot summers. Right from the beginning, she was called to respond to these magical surroundings with drawings, watercolors and acrylic paintings.
